Velto Renewables completes acquisition and begins operation of the Milhat Solar Farm in Haute-Garonne

5 December 2025

Madrid and Berlin, December 5, 2025 – Velto Renewables today announces the completion of its acquisition of the Milhat Solar Farm from Q ENERGY, becoming the sole owner of the 9.2 MWp photovoltaic plant in Lafitte-Vigordane, Haute-Garonne, France.

Built on a restored former quarry, the 9-hectare site features over 15,800 solar panels and produces enough electricity to power approximately 5,800 residents annually, while avoiding an estimated 3,146 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year. The project is designed for dual use, combining clean energy production with ongoing sheep grazing, supported by land management measures and independent agricultural monitoring to maintain pasture quality and animal welfare.

This acquisition marks an important step in Velto Renewables’ expansion in France and highlights its dedication to renewable energy projects that generate lasting environmental, social, and economic benefits.

The Milhat project is part of a broader partnership framework between Velto Renewables and Q ENERGY, facilitating continued collaboration and potential future project transfers.
